Who is the Green Sheikh?
H.H. Sheikh Dr. Abdul Aziz bin Ali Al Nuaimi, widely known as the “Green Sheikh”, is the founder of Green Sheikh Academy and a distinguished environmentalist. As a member of the royal family of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates, he serves as an environmental advisor to the government of Ajman.
His Highness holds a PhD in ecosystems and cleaner production from Griffith University in Australia, along with a master’s degree in environmental management and science from Regis University and Chapman University in the USA, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical and petroleum engineering from United Arab Emirates University. His Highness also holds an Advanced Diploma in Management from Sadat Academy for Management Sciences in Egypt, and has studied Japanese Language and Doctoral Research at Hiroshima University in Japan. Additionally, His Highness is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst and has received numerous certifications in environmental and leadership studies.
The Green Sheikh is also an international ambassador of social responsibility and the second Arab ambassador for the Earth Condominium, promoting global environmental protection and peace. His Highness was awarded an Order of Merit – First Class from the President of Sudan for his efforts in social responsibility and the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice.
